Privacy policy

This site collects very little. Analytics cookies are only set if you agree to them, and nothing else is tracked. The only personal data I hold about you is what you type into one of the two forms and send me.

Last updated: 17 October 2026. Who is responsible: AdOps Autopilot is a trading name of Ad Pack Media, which is the data controller for this site. Contact tom@adopsautopilot.com about anything on this page, including a request to see or delete your data.

What I collect, and when

Nothing at all unless you submit a form. There are two:

+The enquiry form on the home page. Your name, email address, website, roughly what you spend, which advertising platforms and analytics or revenue tools you use, and whatever you write in the message box.
+The scoping questionnaire at /scope/. Your answers to the five questions, the indicative price and hours the page worked out from them, and then your name, email address, company and when it suits you to talk. The questions are answered in your browser and nothing is sent until you submit the last step, so if you close the page part way through, I never see it.

What I do with it

I read it, and I reply to you about the work you asked about. That is the whole purpose. I do not add you to a mailing list, I do not send marketing you did not ask for, and I do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.

The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted a business asking it to quote for work, and replying to you is the obvious and expected result. If you would rather I did not hold it at all, say so and I will delete it.

Who else sees it

Only the suppliers that carry the message, and only because they have to:

+The website hosting and form provider that receives the submission and passes it to me.
+The email provider that delivers and stores the message in my inbox.
+The analytics provider, but only if you allowed analytics cookies, and only aggregate page data rather than anything you typed.

Both act on my instructions as processors rather than using your data for themselves. Some of them operate outside the UK, in which case the transfer relies on the UK international data transfer agreement or equivalent safeguards. I will name the specific suppliers if you ask.

How long I keep it

If we end up working together, for as long as the engagement runs and then six years, because the tax rules require it. If we do not, I keep the enquiry for up to two years in case you come back, and then delete it. Ask me to delete it sooner and I will.

Cookies and analytics

The first time you arrive you are asked what you allow, split into essential, analytics and marketing. Until you choose, nothing optional is set: the site uses Google consent mode with everything denied by default, so the measurement tags load in a state where they cannot write a cookie or store an identifier. Choose essential only and it stays that way.

Allow analytics and Google Analytics sets cookies that tell me which pages people read and which they leave, in aggregate. I use this to decide what to keep on the site. Marketing is listed for completeness and nothing on this site uses it today.

You can change your mind whenever you like using the cookie preferences icon in the bottom corner of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser rather than in a tracking cookie, so clearing site data asks you again. The consent banner itself is an open-source tool loaded from a public code CDN, which receives the request for the file in the same way any other asset provider would.

There is no advertising pixel and no remarketing on this site. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. The demo reports contain invented data about invented companies and collect nothing from you beyond the same optional analytics.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to my holding it. Email tom@adopsautopilot.com and I will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how I handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If anything here is unclear, email me and ask. I would rather explain it than have you guess.
